The Light Foundation is dedicated to the betterment of our society, and strives to achieve its purpose thrh education in the broadest sense, through cooperation and networking, and through programmes which benefit all irrespective of creed or ethnic affiliations. The Light foundation is a non-governmental, non –political, not for profit making organization established to address the health and socio-economic needs of society. TLF sponsorship is a one-to-one relationship based on mutual respect and recognition of every Project's significance. Project sponsors provide a unique opportunity to answer the call to serve the poor and to form friendship with deprived and vulnerable children/communities in another culture.

Millions of people especially women and children struggle each day just to survive. Overcoming obstacles put in their way by poverty seems almost impossible. Yet there is hope - and you can make a difference by reaching out and opening your heart to a community to support child or a vulnerable woman.

 

Through a sponsorship commitment of $30 monthly, you can give a new friend hope by helping with life-enhancing benefits such as food, clothing, medical care and the opportunity to go to school. Your friend will also be encouraged by the knowledge that someone cares.

Project Sponsors provide a chance for vulnerable women and children in the sponsored project communities to achieve their desired potential, live with dignity and participate fully in their communities. As a sponsor, you will learn about a new culture and come to understand your sponsored community’s needs. You will also be blessed with the opportunity to see your community's gifts and potential. You can also participate in life transforming projects, so you can visit your sponsored community and see at firsthand the benefits of your sponsorship through TLF.

This relationship of hope and encouragement is nurtured through practical giving and interventions. You will enjoy receiving personal letters and photos from your sponsored project beneficiaries who will love to hear from you. We encourage you to write your sponsored project beneficiaries as often as you wish. When necessary, your letter will be translated at the TLF project communities for your sponsored beneficiaries. TLF sponsorship lasts as long as your sponsored communities or project beneficiaries are in the program, or however long you choose to continue as a sponsor. The majority of sponsor relationships last many years, and have a lifelong impact.
